Colombian Cyclist Cristian Muñoz Dies Following Serious Fall
Asturias, Spain – Colombian cyclist Cristian Muñoz, 30, who previously competed for NU Colombia and UAE Team Emirates, has died following a serious injury sustained after a fall in France. Muñoz, who turned 30 earlier this year, was driving for the NU Colombia team at the time of the incident. Initial reports indicated Muñoz suffered a fall during training in France.
His condition rapidly deteriorated in the days following the accident, leading to hospitalization upon his arrival in Asturias.
