As Vrtovec said after viewing the work site on the highway near Postojna, in the NSi party he had previously warned about the contentious behavior in connection with the Dars’ new business building. “All the annexations that have made the business building cost almost 30 million euros are unjustified – especially the way these annexations came about,” he said. According to his words, the fisherman did not withdraw from decision-making in the cases when his brother was involved in the business.
“It came not only in my opinion, but, as it seems, also in the opinion of the State Audit Commission, to some irregularities. In the end, it is not just the taxpayers’ money, but also the money of all of us who travel on the highway and pay vignettes or tolls. /…/ There must be consequences here, both criminal and compensation,” he said.
