Matjaž Han, the leader of the Social Democrats, revealed he wasn’t feeling well following his participation in the seventh parliamentary election on Sunday. Despite having already completed his campaign work, he acknowledged experiencing discomfort throughout the entire day. Han stated that he had been in pain for a prolonged period, describing it as “normal.” This nervousness manifested without any specific gastrointestinal issues, yet the Left party maintained a heightened sense of anticipation.
The Left party had successfully engaged approximately 53,000 voters in 2022, narrowly exceeding the four percent parliamentary threshold. This outcome represented a significant improvement. Asta Vrečko, the party’s coordinator, noted that the enhanced result was largely due to the collaborative efforts with Vesna.
The day’s events underscored the challenges faced by the left in securing a stronger position within the parliamentary landscape. The party’s success hinged on mobilizing support and achieving a critical percentage of the vote.
