Slovenian water polo players had to admit to being outclassed by Slovaks

Slovenia faced Slovakia in a water polo match without their captain, Jaša Kadivca, and featuring Nikole Miletić and Aleksandar Paunović. The Slovaks demonstrated a strong performance, particularly in the second half, ultimately securing a decisive victory. The initial quarter saw Nace Štrmjajer score to level the playing field.

He added another goal in the second quarter, with Miha Šantak contributing a goal as well, leaving Slovakia with a narrow one-goal lead. However, the third quarter shifted the momentum dramatically. Maroš Tkač scored four consecutive goals, including a goal by Adam Furman, resulting in a 3-9 scoreline and effectively sealing Slovakia’s win.

Štrmjajer and captain Aljaž Troppan attempted to close the gap with late goals, but Slovakia maintained a lead, finishing with a final score of 9-9.
