Slovenia Advances Significantly in European Recovery Funds Allocation

Slovenia has made substantial progress in utilizing funds allocated through the European Commission’s recovery and resilience program. According to the Ministry of Finance, the European Commission has confirmed that Slovenia has met 16 of the 20 criteria and objectives associated with the funding request. These include the implementation of amendments to pension legislation and adjustments to the country’s healthcare system framework to enhance resilience.

As of today’s disbursement, Slovenia has utilized approximately 83 percent of the available European recovery and resilience funds. This performance positions Slovenia among the most successful member states in utilizing these resources. Finance Minister Kliment Boštjančič stated that the conditions for accessing the remaining funds, specifically the investment component of the recovery and resilience plan, will be fulfilled.

The total gross value of the initial funding request was €266.84 million, with a net payment of €230 million having been distributed. This continued progress underscores Slovenia’s commitment to effectively implementing its recovery strategy and aligning with European objectives. The ongoing efforts are focused on bolstering the nation’s economic recovery through strategic investments.
