Vitamin infusions in Slovenia usually cost between 100 and 300 euros per visit, depending on the type of mixture and the provider. Some providers also offer packages that include multiple treatments. Users receive vitamin, mineral and other substances such as vitamin C, biotin, taurin or L-carnitine directly into the bloodstream through the infusion.
Providers promise better appearance, increased performance, faster regeneration and even “body cleansing.” However, the German BfArM institute now warns that such infusions can also cause serious complications, reports focus.de. Among the risks, they mention vitamin overdose, fluid overload, electrolyte and acid-base imbalances and allergic reactions, which in the worst cases can even lead to anaphylactic shock that can be life-threatening.
