Artificial intelligence is boosting Samsung’s profits. Front cover of the agreement reached between the company’s management and the union on Wednesday to prevent the strike that was scheduled to begin today, which is expected to increase employee salaries and conditions for the payment of higher bonuses. Each employee in chip production will receive around 292,000 euros.
It also brings the introduction of a new fund for the payment of bonuses to employees in the memory chip production department. The total amount of bonuses to be paid to employees will be 12 percent of the achieved business profit. The bonus scheme is introduced for a ten-year period and is conditional on the chip department achieving annual operating profit of more than 130 billion dollars between 2026 and 2028, and more than 66 billion dollars by 2035.
