Traffic congestion was reported across several routes this weekend, according to warnings issued by DARS, indicating a highly problematic period for commuters. In the direction of the Carpathians, a significant column of vehicles was observed spanning three kilometers. Congestion was also reported on the Austrian side of the main tunnel.
Within Slovenia, several motorways experienced notable delays. On the Slovenian motorway connecting Ravbarkomanda and Unec, the right lane was temporarily closed due to a vehicle malfunction. Further delays were noted on the motorway heading toward Ljubljana.
Specifically, traffic jams were occurring on a two-kilometer segment located between Vrhnika and Dragomer. Additionally, a separate congestion point was reported on a three-and-a-half-kilometer stretch situated between the Studenec and Ravbarkomanda rest stops. For travelers heading toward Koper, traffic delays were reported on a two-kilometer section of the Slovenian motorway between Unec and Postojna.
The vehicular buildup was also observed along the Šmarje-Koper road, where congestion extended for approximately five and a half kilometers. Other areas affected included the vicinity of Izola and the route connecting Lesce to Bled. These incidents highlight widespread travel disruptions across the region, with multiple bottlenecks reported across different key infrastructure points.
