Rent prices in Europe have exploded: in some cities higher than wages

According to data from various analyses of the European real estate market, rents are steadily rising across the continent, and in some cities they have already reached levels where the average resident can hardly survive. Housing costs now represent the largest part of household expenditure in the EU, as Eurostat also confirms, where they state that residents spend more than five percent of all their expenditure on living.
