According to Meteoinfo Slovenia, intense gusty winds are currently impacting exposed regions, particularly in elevated areas. Speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour have been recorded in many locations. Furthermore, gusty winds are also reported at speeds surpassing 130 kilometers per hour within the Pohorje mountains, the Alps, and along the Dinaric barrier.
Local gusts are being observed across the country. Recent hours have seen a slight increase in precipitation originating from the east. The snow cover has diminished considerably in the lowlands of Styria, Carinthia, and Lower Carniola.
Due to the warm ground and prevailing positive temperatures, the impact of this snowfall will be negligible. However, above 400 meters above sea level, conditions will resemble a typical winter environment. The greatest accumulations of snow are anticipated on the hills of the Pohorje, Haloz, Gorjane, Kočevski Rog, and the broader Snežnik area.
Roads frequently experience snow cover at elevations exceeding 600 meters, and strong winds are creating snow drifts that significantly impede transportation in certain areas.
