At the same time, the police added that there is a high probability that 55-year-old Tomaž Stopar is using a VW Touareg gray vehicle with Slovak registration plates AB 83 6FS. The police are asking anyone who would see the man or the described vehicle to immediately call 113 or call an anonymous phone number 080 1200 or send an email to fast@policija.si. In the past, the media mentioned Stopar as a member of the Slovenian-Croatian association that, from the beginning of 2016 until the arrests in the beginning of 2019, imported luxury cars from abroad to Slovenia and then to Croatia, where they were supposed to be sold to end-users or car dealerships, using various methods to avoid paying value added tax and motor vehicle tax.
