Petroil announced on Monday evening through the Ljubljana Stock Exchange’s website, detailing a strong performance for the year. The group’s operating profit reached 224.8 million euros, representing an increase of eight percent compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the gross operating profit (EBITDA) stood at 326.6 million euros, a four percent rise.

The company attributed this positive outcome to a challenging year characterized by significant geopolitical uncertainty and evolving regulations impacting energy prices. Changes within the energy markets also played a role. “The year was defined by stricter regulatory environments and elevated costs associated with the energy transition,” stated Sašo Berger, the president of the management board.

Despite these headwinds, Petroil maintained stable operations thanks to effective management strategies. The group experienced growth in markets beyond Slovenia and implemented rigorous cost discipline. Consequently, the results surpassed those of the preceding year.

Berger added, “We exceeded the results of 2024, and while we didn’t fully realize our planned objectives for the year, our performance demonstrates resilience.” This successful year highlights the group’s adaptability and strategic focus.
