The Croatian team from Net.hr investigated a peculiar advertisement by dialing the provided number. Prior to this, approximately 300 individuals had already contacted the number, initially questioning the veracity of the offer regarding the house. Mato Filipović, the husband of the homeowner, detailed the situation.
His wife inherited 70 percent of the property from her deceased mother, a circumstance resulting from their residence abroad and a lack of plans for repatriation. They ultimately chose to give the house away, seeking to eliminate the associated worries and responsibilities. “We decided to give the house away because we live abroad and it is a burden and obligation for us, but there is no benefit from it,” Filipović explained.
The house had remained unoccupied for several years, a fact noted by local residents. The team’s investigation began after this unusual advertisement appeared. The Croatian portal’s actions highlighted the unusual circumstances surrounding the offer of the house.
