Subsequently, the perpetrator, posing as someone needing assistance, requested help with paying the relative’s bill. He then provided details for a transfer to a foreign bank account. Acting on this information, the victim made two transfers from her bank account to the specified account.
Following these transactions, the victim’s bank alerted her to the situation, confirming she had been the victim of a cyber scam. The perpetrator successfully defrauded her of over five thousand euros. The Ajdovščina Police Station is actively pursuing the case, focusing on identifying the individual responsible for this deceptive scheme involving her relative’s phone.
