On Monday, complete closure of the fast road over Rebernic

The second phase of the significant renovation work on the Vipava expressway commenced on Monday. Until the middle of November, movement across the Rebernice section will be restricted to the direction heading toward Italy. For the 12-kilometer segment located between the Nanos junction and Vipava, traffic flow will be managed by allowing one dedicated lane toward Italy for all vehicle types.

Conversely, the return direction, running from Vipava to Razdrto, will utilize a parallel main road for passenger cars and local trucks. Furthermore, all freight traffic in transit will be rerouted to the Fernetiči crossing within Italy during the planned 130-day closure period. For individuals crossing the state border at Vrtojba, Slovenian police officers and Dars supervisors are responsible for redirecting all persons back into Italy immediately after border passage, guiding them via the Fernetiči crossing.

These operational adjustments affect general traffic patterns across the region. Authorities have established specific routes to manage the flow of vehicles during the ongoing construction efforts. The changes dictate which lanes are permitted and where local and commercial traffic can be diverted to ensure continuity of movement despite the extensive infrastructure upgrades near Vipava.

All affected travelers should adhere strictly to the posted signage and instructions regarding allowed routes.
