Olimpija Faces Disciplinary Action Following Spins Complaint
The Professional Footballers’ Association of Slovenia (Spins) has initiated disciplinary proceedings against NK Olimpija Ljubljana, according to a statement released by the association. The action commenced shortly after Spins was established and resulted in a ruling by the disciplinary judge. As a consequence, Olimpija was fined 3,000 euros.
Furthermore, the club has been placed on hold regarding the registration of new players for one transfer window. Spins clarified that this restriction will remain in effect until Olimpija demonstrates full compliance with all outstanding player obligations. The decision follows a previous arbitration ruling by the Slovenian Football Association (NZS) on February 6, 2026.
This ruling mandated that Olimpija must pay Mustafa Nukić all owed salaries up to the contract’s expiration date, alongside all appearance bonuses earned in European competitions. Spins emphasized their commitment to supporting Nukić throughout the proceedings. The association offered legal assistance from the outset.
The outcome represents a significant development in the ongoing dispute involving the former player and the Ljubljana-based club.
