Some parents should go to Austria with fake vaccination certificates

Several pediatricians are raising concerns regarding a recent trend where parents are presenting them with Austrian vaccination labels, claiming their children have received vaccinations. The practice emerged after reports first surfaced with Dnevnik, detailing parents refusing standard vaccinations for measles, mumps, and rubella, which are required for kindergarten entry. These parents are now seeking pediatric care and presenting completed vaccination booklets with an Austrian label indicating vaccination across the border.

According to pediatrician Alenka Rusova, these booklets feature a doctor’s signature and official stamp. Rusova is treating three patients who have utilized this method for vaccinations against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and childhood paralysis. However, Rusova emphasizes that her practice cannot verify the validity of these labels.

“We cannot prove it,” she stated. The situation highlights the difficulty in confirming vaccination status when relying on unofficial documentation. The pediatricians’ inability to confirm the actual vaccination process remains a central point of concern.
