Neishe Celebrates 20 Years of Solo Music Career
Neishe is marking the 20th anniversary of her independent music career, a milestone built upon two decades of dedicated work. The foundation of her success rests on extensive piano practice, coupled with formal studies in piano and composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. Her journey has also included collaborations with other bands and significant work composing for numerous performers.
“I could release a book on the position of the musician in the middle class, because there you get stuck as a professional in Slovenia,” Neishe stated. She highlighted the importance of recognizing the value of every performance, adding, “Every applause counts, even if it’s just one.”
Neishe’s career began with a public performance at the Cerkno Music School, which occurred forty years ago. During her most productive years, she delivered over 200 concerts within Slovenia.
Reflecting on her experiences, she commented on the concept of fame within the country, stating, “It’s hard for you to think about it. But that you’re the main in a twodillion village? Stop!” with a smile.
The anniversary underscores Neishe’s commitment to her craft and the power of dedication within the world of music, particularly through the instrument of the piano.
