More than 30 degrees in the morning in southern Croatia: 40 degrees during the day?

Dubrovnik recorded the highest temperature at 7 a.m., reaching 30.8 degrees, while Lastovo registered 30.4 degrees, and the Split airport reported 30 degrees. According to the Croatian Hydrometeorological Institute, the sea temperature in Split was slightly lower than the air temperature, which measured 29.8 degrees during the morning hours. Croatian meteorologists have issued a red warning for the regions encompassing Zagreb, Rijeka, Split, and Dubrovnik due to the intense heat.

For the remaining areas of the country, an orange warning is in effect, as reported by Net.hr. Temperatures are forecast to climb as high as 40 degrees Celsius, with hot weather conditions expected to persist through Monday and Tuesday.
