Minister Kumer about the state of the energy market

Readers have recently voiced concerns regarding difficulties encountered when purchasing heating oil. As previously reported, a reader contacted us earlier this week to detail the situation. They explained that they attempted to ascertain current heating oil prices by contacting their supplier, who subsequently informed them that deliveries were suspended due to priority being given to petrol stations under current measures.

The supplier also cautioned that they were no longer accepting new orders for heating oil. However, they assured customers that they would progressively fulfill existing orders. There have been instances where fuel supplies have dwindled, driven by heightened demand for heating oil.

This has occasionally resulted in shortages at certain petrol stations. Petrol representatives clarified that they ceased increasing fuel demand last week. Consequently, they are adjusting their sales and delivery operations to ensure a gradual provision of heating oil to those who had previously placed orders.

The situation highlights the challenges in securing adequate supplies of heating oil amidst fluctuating demand.
