Slovenian Gastronomy Achieves Record Recognition with Michelin Stars
The Slovenian tourism sector is celebrating a significant achievement following the latest Michelin Guide release. The Slovenian Tourist Organization (STO) announced that Slovenian restaurants have secured Michelin stars for the seventh consecutive year, marking a record for the country. The guide now features 74 restaurants, the highest number to date.
A total of 13 restaurants have been awarded Michelin stars. Leading the way is Ana Roš’s Hiša Franko, which maintains its three-star status. Milka, led by David Žefran, has also achieved two stars, and eight other establishments have earned a single star.
Recognizing restaurants offering exceptional value, the Bib Gourmand award was presented to 12 establishments. Specifically, one-star ratings were retained by Cob from Portorož, overseen by Filip Matjaž; Hiša Linhart in Radovljica, curated by Uroš Štefelin; and Hiša Denk, with Gregor Vra. This continued success highlights the growing international recognition of slovenian cuisine and the dedication of chefs like Ana Roš in elevating the country’s culinary reputation.
