DZ College Addresses Vice-Presidential Selection and Working Body Formation
Podgorica – At its inaugural meeting on Monday, the DZ (Parliamentary Committee) College convened to address key procedural matters, primarily the election of two vice-presidents and the establishment of temporary working bodies. DZ President Zoran Stevanović announced the immediate scheduling of the first extraordinary session, focused on selecting the two vice-presidents, as uncertainty remains regarding which of the two largest opposition groups will secure one of the positions. Proposals for vice-presidential candidates are due by 9:30 AM, with DZ MP group leaders expected to discuss potential candidates within their respective meetings prior to the session.
Furthermore, the College agreed to a proposal for three temporary working bodies: a committee for EU affairs, a committee for foreign policy, and a joint committee. The composition of these committees will be determined by the DZ MP groups, with agreements reached on the allocation of seats for presidents and vice-presidents. However, the decision-making process was complicated by disagreements within the Svoboda, SD, and Levica parties.
The College aims to resolve these outstanding issues and proceed with the formation of the necessary committees to continue parliamentary operations.
