Marquez Confident Following Break as He Prepares for Jerez Race
Marc Marquez has indicated he utilized a recent period of rest and time at home to address areas needing improvement, both physically and mechanically, ahead of the Andalusian Grand Prix. Following a brief break, Marquez stated he feels “well physically prepared” and believes he can “perform at the best possible way.”
However, the MotoGP star cautioned that the true test will come during the race itself. He acknowledged a challenging start to the season, admitting he struggled to consistently find a rhythm across the entirety of the Phillip Island and Laguna Seca weekends.
“I was fast in some parts of the race and in certain circles, but not in a constant way,” he explained. The rider also referenced a difficult period following a fall in the United States, noting the accompanying pain in his arm. “Surviving a race weekend with pain is never easy,” Marquez said, adding that he’s working closely with his team, including Martin, to optimize his performance.
Ultimately, Marquez emphasized that the results of his preparation will only be definitively determined by his performance in the Jerez race.
