Marquez and Ducati: special clause in the background of the two-year contract

Marc Marquez underwent two surgical procedures on his right foot and arm on Sunday in Madrid. Following the operations, the Spanish motorcycle racer has commenced rehabilitation efforts with the goal of returning to MotoGP racing at the earliest opportunity. Two primary uncertainties remain regarding his recovery and future participation in the sport.

First, there is speculation as to whether Marquez will be fit to compete at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello at the end of May, a possibility Ducati has expressed hope for. Second, there is an ongoing question regarding the level of his physical fitness, which could influence the trajectory of his career, potentially leading to a conclusion of his racing activities by 2027. Following the surgery at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, Marquez confirmed via social media that the procedure was successful.

His immediate focus is on rehabilitation to facilitate a return to professional racing.
