Janša: Hope that we can extract something from this situation is not dead

Janez Janša, leader of the SDS, highlighted concerns following the tallying of over 95 percent of ballots. He asserted that the State Electoral Commission’s website experienced persistent malfunctions. His claims centered on discrepancies between data originating from the DVK and the individual polling stations.

Approximately one million input votes revealed a 50,000-vote advantage for the SDS, according to his statements. He noted that not all polling stations were included in the data collection. “It is true that not the same polling stations have been entered,” he added.

Janša urged the DVK’s responsible personnel and those managing the computer program to recognize that every vote from all polling stations would ultimately be attributed to the SDS. He explained that the SDS had established a network of people and supervisors at each location to ensure comprehensive counting. The SDS secured 28 seats in parliament.

Among those elected to the national assembly were Janez Janša, Žan Mahnič, Andrej Poglajen, Zvonko Černač, Alenka Jeraj, and others. The outcome reflects the SDS’s strong performance.
