Robert Golob garnered 11,272 votes, representing the highest total count and the sole candidate to surpass the 10,000 mark. Vesna Humar, the state secretary within the Office for Slovenes Abroad, accumulated 9,987 votes in Ajdovščina, securing second place. However, despite this significant number of votes, it proved insufficient for election to the National Assembly due to percentage limitations.
The Freedom Movement dominated their respective districts. Infrastructure Minister Alenka Bratušek obtained 9,746 votes, while parliamentary group leader Nataša Avšič Bogovič received 9,740 votes and Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič collected 9,594 votes. Notably, Mateja Arčon achieved the highest percentage within her electoral unit – 43.5 percent – and subsequently amassed 6,957 votes.
Furthermore, Janez Janša, the head of the SDS, achieved the top position in all of his designated constituencies. The election results demonstrated a strong preference for Golob and the Freedom Movement’s candidates across numerous districts, highlighting a clear shift in voter support.
