In the coming days, expect congestion: when will it be worst?

Traffic Forecast Shows Mixed Conditions Ahead

Dars, the Slovenian traffic information service, anticipates a complex traffic situation over the next several days. While slightly reduced overall traffic is expected due to the weather forecast, significant increases are predicted in specific corridors. Specifically, traffic volumes from Austria to Croatia are projected to rise substantially in the coming days.

Dars advises users to anticipate longer travel times and recommends departing earlier or regularly monitoring current traffic conditions for updates. Tomorrow is anticipated to be particularly congested, with the combination of transit and domestic traffic peaks potentially leading to traffic jams, especially during morning hours. Increased traffic is also expected in the direction of Austria on Sunday.

The ongoing Easter holidays and subsequent tourism, including travel to Telov, will continue to contribute to elevated transit traffic volumes. Dars forecasts a particularly busy weekend from May 23rd to 24th, driven by the public holiday on May 25th (Easter Monday). Authorities expect continued high traffic volumes throughout the following weeks.

Travelers should expect changes in traffic conditions and remain informed about current road conditions.
