In Gorizia, five fires in one night: were they planted?

On Saturday, emergency services responded to multiple fires across Nova Gorica. The initial alert came at 00:47, reporting a fire involving a wooden cabin adjacent to a house on Primorska street. The cabin contained stored firewood and a substantial heating oil tank.

Flames rapidly spread, engulfing the roof of the residential building. Initial estimates indicated approximately 20,000 euros in material damage. Professional firefighters from the JZ GRD GE Nova Gorica and PGD Nova Gorica swiftly extinguished the blaze.

They documented the scene with a photograph. Several hours later, at 1:28, another fire was reported in Gorizia, concerning six containers holding municipal waste. This fire resulted in approximately 2,000 euros in damage, and firefighters successfully contained it.

Just minutes later, at 1:32, police received a third alert regarding a fire in Gorizia. The cause of this fire remains under investigation. These incidents highlight the ongoing need for vigilance and prompt response to prevent further damage from fire.
