Multiple Road Closures Impact Slovenian Traffic
Several highways across Slovenia experienced significant disruptions today due to a combination of accidents and hazardous conditions. The Primorska highway between Ravbarkound Postojna and Koper was initially closed following an incident, but has since reopened. Currently, traffic is restricted to a single lane, resulting in considerable delays.
Further disruptions were reported on the Primorska highway between Dragomer and Brezovica, heading towards Ljubljana, which remains blocked. The Velenje-Šmartno ob Paki highway is also closed due to an obstruction near Skorno. The Ljubljana-Lič road is currently impassable between Dolsko and Senožeti due to an oil spill.
Traffic congestion is also impacting several other routes, including sections of the Styrian highway before Domžale, between Ljubljana and Šentjakob, and prior to Šentilj towards Austria. Additionally, the Lesce-Bled, Lucija-Izola, Izola-Strunjan, and Šmarje-Koper roads are experiencing increased traffic volume. The afternoon rush hour exacerbated these issues, leading to heightened congestion on roads radiating from urban centers and along the Ljubljana ring road.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and anticipate potential delays across these affected routes.
