According to the weather service Tauernwetter, this marks the first measuring station in Austria to record temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or higher for three consecutive days. The current heat wave has persisted across Austria for three days. Previously, a record of 40.5 degrees Celsius was established in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg on August 8, 2013.
