An incident occurred on Rožnik Street on Monday evening, around 10:00 p.m., following a vehicle collision. According to official reports from the police, the accident was attributed to a driver who failed to yield the right of way to a pedestrian at a designated crossing point. The collision resulted in two individuals being affected.
One pedestrian sustained serious injuries, while the other was reported to have minor injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to the Ljubljana University Hospital, where authorities confirmed that their lives were not in immediate danger. Following the accident, the driver fled the scene.
However, the police were able to locate and apprehend the individual. Upon testing, the driver’s breathalyzer results indicated a concentration of 0.65 mg/l of alcohol in the exhaled air. Consequently, the police have mandated that the driver undergo a comprehensive medical examination.
