The government has not changed the excise tax, nor has it changed the restrictions on merchants’ margins. Prices will remain valid until June 1. As the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy announced on Monday, these petroleum derivatives will continue to be priced based on the methodology that is based on the movement of petroleum derivatives on the global market and the movement of the dollar-euro exchange rate.
The model prices are calculated based on the seven-day averages of the prices of mineral petroleum derivatives. Merchants can freely set fuel prices at service stations on highways and expressways.
