Significant Traffic Congestion Reported Across Slovenia’s Motorways
The Traffic Information Center is reporting widespread traffic congestion across several motorways in Slovenia this morning. Extensive delays are impacting travel between major cities, particularly between Ljubljana and Koper. On the Primorska motorway, traffic jams exceeding 20 kilometers are currently observed in both directions.
Specifically, significant delays are reported between the Lom rest area and the Postojna junction heading towards Koper, as well as between Kozarje and Dragomer towards Koper. Further congestion is noted in the Ljubljana direction before Kastelec and the work shifts near Postojna. Elsewhere, traffic is heavily impacted.
The Štajerska motorway is experiencing a 20-kilometer traffic jam between Slovenj Gradec and Ljubljana. Additionally, the Ljubljana southern ring road is affected by traffic delays between Rudnik and Center towards Kozarje. Finally, a significant freight vehicle traffic jam is present on the Gorenjska motorway in front of the Karavanke tunnel, heading towards Austria.
Travel times are significantly extended due to these conditions. Motorists are advised to check for updated traffic information before commencing their journeys.
