France: Israeli company allegedly interfered in elections of several countries

The Israeli BlackCore technology company is allegedly interfering in elections and political processes of several countries, according to the French cybersecurity and disinformation agency Viginum. The Israeli government is currently awaiting a French report and will, as they say, decide whether to conduct its own investigation. However, they have already denied any interest in interfering in the elections of other countries.

Marc-Antoine Brillant, head of Viginum, and French Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced on Thursday that the agency has identified BlackCore in the investigations, but it is not yet clear who ordered the interference, the Guardian reports. “Our investigations have not enabled us to identify the client, if any, who is behind this foreign digital interference,” said Brillant.
