Four fires in Ajdovščina: police identified the suspect

Police officers managed four incidents involving fires that occurred between July 18 and July 24. All four instances of the fires were traced to grassland areas located near the Planina settlement within the Ajdovščina municipality. The timing of these incidents coincided with a period when the Slovenian National Fire Protection Agency had declared a high fire risk for the natural environment.

Under these elevated risk conditions, several restrictions were put in place, according to police reports. These prohibitions included setting any fires, throwing burning materials, or deploying any objects or substances capable of igniting a fire. Furthermore, the authorities banned burning activities, setting fires in areas proximate to infrastructure, lighting bonfires, or using any objects or devices outside of developed areas that could potentially cause a blaze.

The use of fireworks was also prohibited. The police stated that the burning responsible for the four fires in question violated these established safety guidelines.
