Europe under the heat dome: the first heat wave is coming

Western Europe is preparing for the first major heatwave of this summer, the Guardian predicts. Temperatures are expected to rise by more than 10 degrees Celsius above normal by the end of the week, and new May records could be set in hundreds of cities. A heatwave in Spain.

Temperatures are expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius in Paris and London, 35 degrees in the southwest of France, and temperatures could rise to 38 degrees Celsius in the Guadiana and Guadalquivir regions of Spain.

Temperatures have already reached 37 degrees Celsius in both provinces, and 40 degrees Celsius could be reached in Guadiana on Thursday.
