Kelly Guček, a fashion designer known as Guckovah, conceived of a unique event inspired by a basketball game she attended in Stožice. During the game, she had a specific design concept in mind. After the match, she jokingly shared her idea with the event organizers, who expressed interest and initiated a serious discussion about collaboration.
Guček’s vision centered around a fashion show featuring clothing created from repurposed jerseys of the Cedevita Olimpija basketball team. The designer began by examining the team’s warehouse inventory and then commenced the design and production process. Guček personally carried out the initial development of the concept, transforming the jerseys into a wearable fashion display.
The project represents a novel approach to both fashion and sports memorabilia, utilizing discarded materials in a creative and engaging way. The event is intended to showcase the potential for sustainable design and celebrate the history of Cedevita Olimpija.
