The Pesnica small hydroelectric power plant (HE) is situated at the high-water level of the Pesnica river, specifically within the outflow channel of the HE Formin. According to the company, construction activities commenced in July 2025, and the facility received its legally binding permit on April 18 of the current year. The project scope included the construction of core plant facilities alongside necessary mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment and installations.

The power plant utilizes an Archimedes screw as its central component. This technology is noted for being reliable, proven, and environmentally friendly for generating electricity from water.
