Democrats have confirmed receipt of SDS’s starting points for a coalition agreement

Janša to Distribute Coalition Agreement Outline Following Government Amendment Support

Ljubljana – Slovenia’s SDS party leader, Janez Janša, announced plans to distribute an outline of the proposed government law amendment to parties supporting its passage. The amendment, which seeks to reduce the number of ministries from 19 to 14, garnered support from the NSi, SLS, and Focus parties, alongside Democrats and Truth. Following consultations with the President regarding the selection of a prime minister candidate, Janša intends to convene discussions with these coalition partners.

The Democrats confirmed receipt of the outline, while Resnica reports that the SDS has yet to formally send the documents. Novi Saz remains silent on the matter. The distribution of the coalition agreement outline is anticipated to trigger talks amongst the parties.

While the Democrats in NSi have acknowledged receiving the document, SLS and Focus have not yet commented. Resnica, however, states they have not received any materials from the SDS. The amendment’s passage hinges on securing the backing of these key parties, and Janša’s move signals a proactive approach to finalizing the coalition agreement.

Further updates will be provided as developments unfold.
