The Slovenian rendition of the popular talent show, Znan obraz ima svoj glas Hrvaška (Your Face Sounds Familiar), began airing on VOYO starting Saturday. David Amara, recognized for his vocal talent, also gained attention for his impressive impersonation skills, notably appearing in the Croatian version of the same show several months prior. Following his participation, Amara stated that contestants should approach the experience without preconceived notions, anticipating unpredictability.
He added that the program offers a unique platform to showcase oneself in a manner distinct from other performances. David Amara holds the distinction of being the first and only singer to perform in two different countries on the show. The 32-year-old singer recently faced scheduling conflicts between Ljubljana and Zagreb due to the filming commitments for the program.
Despite the logistical challenges, he emphasized that his preference was not to reside in the Croatian capital. Reflecting on his time in the city, Amara noted, “In my life, I’ve never been so close to Zagreb, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be there again.” His participation continues to draw interest as the show airs its episodes.
