Zasavje Herbalist Association Focuses on Preserving Traditional Herbal Knowledge
The Zasavje Herbalist Association has long been dedicated to safeguarding traditional Slovenian herbal knowledge, remedies, and a lifestyle rooted in natural practices. Operating from their central hub, Teta Johance’s Garden, the association offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about medicinal plants, hydrolates, and established herbal techniques. At the core of the association’s efforts is Cvetka Drnovšek, a seasoned herbalist and lecturer.
Who serves as a driving force behind numerous local initiatives, Cvetka connects a diverse range of groups – children, adults, associations, and wider communities – through her work. Her approach is founded on a deep understanding of knowledge and a commitment to making this information accessible to all. The association’s mission centers on encouraging individuals to rediscover the therapeutic potential of nature and fostering connections within the community.
