The party president, Zoran Stevanović, has established a strict requirement for all candidates before the upcoming electoral campaign. He insists on a certificate confirming their innocence and absence of any criminal proceedings, alongside a demand for complete political integrity. However, investigations have revealed that individuals with prior convictions and guilty verdicts are present within the party’s ranks.

Specifically, Robert Leva, the Resni.ca party’s candidate in the Ruše electoral district, has a documented criminal history. The court imposed a suspended five-month prison sentence.

Leva subsequently attempted to overturn this judgment through appeals to the Higher Court in Koper and the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has continued to appeal the original sentence, demonstrating the ongoing legal challenge.
