Čolić after the bombing: I will not prosecute the suspects

A bomb attack targeted the residence of renowned singer Zdravko Čolić in Belgrade during February. Following the incident, members of the Criminal Investigation Police (UKP) swiftly apprehended three individuals as suspects. The motive behind the attack remains currently undetermined.

Today, Čolić, aged 74, underwent questioning by the higher state prosecutor’s office in Belgrade, related to the subsequent events. He arrived at the court building around 8:00 a.m., accompanied by his associates, and remained for approximately one hour. His testimony proved to be a significant surprise to the prosecutor’s office.

As Serbian media outlets detailed, Čolić declared his intention not to participate in the criminal proceedings against the arrested suspects. The investigation continues after the initial arrest of the suspects. Zdravko Čolić’s stance represents a notable development in the case.

Authorities are still working to ascertain the reasons for the attack and build a solid case.
