Reports indicated that around 7 a.m., the column of vehicles was estimated to be approximately 25 kilometers long, although this queue was later reported to have reduced to about 10 kilometers. The impact of the disruption extended beyond the motorway. State road DC1, commonly utilized as a bypass around the area, also experienced significant traffic buildup.
Furthermore, the Zagreb bypass (A3) reported heavy congestion, forming a queue of about 12 kilometers originating from the Lučko toll station in the direction of Buzin. HAK has warned that overall traffic levels are expected to increase as the summer tourist season continues, suggesting drivers anticipate continued periods of congestion on key arteries.
