In the coming year, the European Commission is expected to see a 2.3% growth in the Slovenian economy, which is 0.3 percentage points less than the last forecast from last November. According to the currently estimated 1.1% growth in 2025, growth this year will still strengthen, but the acceleration will be smaller than the expectations in the autumn forecast. Consumption, which is expected to grow by 2.1% and 2.8% this year and next, will be boosted by the high level of employment and the expected further growth in salaries, including minimum wages and salaries in the public sector, according to the expectations of Brussels.
The growth of GDP is expected to rise nominally by 6.5% this year.
