Besides Logar, the ministerial candidate of the Democrats is also Ostrc and Zupančič

SDS Announces Proposed Government Structure, Ministerial Appointments Remain Unconfirmed

The Slovenian Democratic Union (SDS) is outlining its proposed structure for the new government, centered around a seven-ministry model. While the specific names for each ministerial position are yet to be finalized, several Members of Parliament (MPs) are expected to join the cabinet. Andrej Šircl is confirmed to return to the Ministry of Finance.

The SDS is scheduled to formally announce the full list of candidates later this evening. The National Community Party (NSi) has also designated ministerial representatives. Jernej Vrtovec is slated for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Valentin Hajdinjak will lead the Ministry of Defence, and Janez Cigler Kralj is proposed for the Ministry of Agriculture or Demography.

Monika Kirbiš Rojs is designated for the Ministry of Cohesion. The Social Liberal Party (SLS) intends to contribute one ministerial candidate for the demography portfolio. However, the party anticipates potential conflict regarding the selection, specifically concerning party leader Tina Bregant’s insistence on holding the position.

The SLS stated in an afternoon release that they anticipate reaching an agreement on the ministerial appointments. The party emphasized the importance of a broader consensus within the sds government formation. Further details regarding the final government composition are expected to be announced this evening.
