At midnight, higher prices for oil derivatives

The ministry has provided estimates for the cost of petroleum derivatives if current pricing regulations were suspended. Under these projected scenarios, 95-octane gasoline would cost around 1.664 euros per liter, diesel around 1.743 euros per liter, and fuel oil would be priced around 1.336 euros per liter. Additionally, the estimated filling costs are detailed, showing gasoline at around 0.41759 euros per liter, diesel around 0.33000 euros per liter, and fuel oil around 0.07875 euros per liter.

According to the ministry’s guidelines, the official pricing for these derivatives is determined by a methodology that tracks the movement of petroleum derivatives on the global market, factoring in the exchange rate between the dollar and the euro. Specifically, the model prices are calculated using the seven-day averages of the prices for various mineral petroleum derivatives. This established framework ensures that the price per liter remains tethered to international commodity trends.

However, the ministry noted a distinction in retail pricing structures. At motorways and expressways, the pricing mechanism differs, as merchants are permitted to set prices freely, rather than adhering strictly to the calculated model rates provided in euros per liter. This regulatory distinction means that consumers may encounter varying rates depending on the point of purchase.
