A structure collapsed on an individual in Brdo, a settlement within the Domžale municipality, on Sunday afternoon, following severe weather conditions. According to the Slovenian National Emergency Management Agency (NAMS), the incident occurred at approximately 4:24 PM due to a combination of strong winds and a localized storm. Emergency response teams, including firefighters from CZR Domžale and PGD Ihan, were dispatched to the location.
Responders immediately secured the area, provided necessary assistance to the rescue personnel, and successfully removed the collapsed roof. The primary focus remained on the injured person, who was subsequently transferred to a rescue vehicle for further care. The operational response continued elsewhere.
Later in the day, the same teams arrived in Sel pri Ihanu, where they addressed secondary damage caused by the high winds. Their efforts included felling and removing a large tree that had fallen into a local stream. Regarding the weather outlook, meteorologists from the Slovenian Environmental Agency (Arso) provided updated forecasts.
Following the intense local storms experienced on Sunday, residents can anticipate continued localized thunderstorms throughout the middle of the day and into the afternoon. However, the forecast suggests a transition toward more stable weather, predicting several subsequent days characterized by calm conditions, sunshine, and pleasantly warm temperatures.
