A traffic incident was reported by Croatian police on Saturday afternoon, involving a collision near Medigija Street. The accident occurred around noon when a 27-year-old Slovenian citizen, driving a vehicle bearing Slovenian registration plates, attempted to overtake another vehicle operated by a 45-year-old man whose car displayed Pulj plates. Following the initial collision, both the 45-year-old motorist and his 40-year-old companion sustained injuries after falling onto the roadway.
Subsequent actions were documented by authorities. It was reported that the motorist approached the vehicle after the fall, using a helmet to break the windshield. He then struck the 27-year-old Slovenian citizen with the same helmet.
Croatian police have initiated separate legal procedures regarding the incident. A criminal complaint has been filed against the 45-year-old motorist concerning the damage to foreign property and charges related to violating public order and peace. Separately, the Croatian police will commence a traffic violation procedure against the Slovenian citizen for alleged violations of road traffic safety laws.
