Work on the Styrian motorway: Long traffic jams again possible in summer

The Slovenian authorities are implementing a temporary traffic management system between Saturday afternoon and the start of June. This will involve the closure of three lanes situated between the Konjice access point and the Golo rebro tunnel. Specifically, two lanes will be designated for traffic heading towards Ljubljana, while a single lane will be available for vehicles traveling in the direction of Maribor.

For those traveling towards Maribor, all traffic will be restricted to the designated overtaking lane. At the commencement of the closure, drivers utilizing Dars will be guided to the right lane for an exit towards Maribor, clearly indicated by appropriate signage. Drivers are strongly advised to adhere to the established speed limits within the affected area.

This traffic regulation is scheduled to remain in effect until the beginning of June. During this period, extensive works are planned, including the expansion of embankments, the construction of geotechnical structures, and the installation of anti-noise fences. These restoration activities are essential to improve the road infrastructure.

The overall goal is to create two lanes of traffic, ensuring smooth movement in both directions.
